FENCING
12-LF-001
The proposed project would install litter control fencing around the landfill. The installation of the fencing would improve litter control at the landfill. There would be minimal impact on the budget with this project.
Description: Justification: Budget Impact:
The proposed project consist of the planning, development and construction of a new cell for collection of waste and materials brought to the landfill. 14-LF-001 LANDFILL CELL DEVELOPMENT
Description:
This is an ongoing project as each cell has an estimated useful life of three years.
Justification: Budget Impact:
There will continued impact on the budget as the City will need to ensure that adequate revenues are available to continue to build a new cell approximately every three years.
The proposed project would construct a new cold storage building for equipment. At the time of construction, the City will decide on actual building material. 19-LF-001 EQUIPMENT STORAGE BUILDING Currently there is not enough storage space in the heated shop for all of our equipment, this results in equipment being stored outside in the elements. This project will have minimal impact on the budget. However, by storing equipment inside and out of the elements, it should help with equipment maintenance and prolong the life expectancy of the equipment. The proposed project would install concrete at the driveway entrance as well as a system to remove dirt from vehicle tires as they leave the facility. 19-LF-002 SCALE CONCRETE

Description:
The purpose of the project is to reduce the material that is deposited onto the state highway. There is no anticipated impact on the operating budget as part of this project.
Justification: Budget Impact:
The proposed project would purchase a used semi tractor for use a the landfill hauling leachate. 19-LF-003 SEMI TRACTOR
Description: Justification:
This could also be used for a spare for solid waste when not in use. Currently when the solid waste tractor is down, the city rents a semi tractor if one can be found.
There would be minimal impact on the operating budget with this project.
Budget Impact:
The proposed project would consist of the purchase of a new track loader for use at the Landfill. 20-LF-001 TRACK LOADER REPLACEMENT At the time of replacement, the current track loader will be 15 years old and in need of replacement. This project will have minimal impact on the budget, however, maintenance costs could go down with a newer piece of equipment.

The proposed project will purchase a standard cab, 3/4 ton pickup truck

The purchase would replace the 1993 Blazer that is currently being used by the department.
