Description of Services:

The Spencer Municipal Golf Course is an approximately 150 acre, 18-hole golf course owned by the City of Spencer. The course was purchased by the City in 1976 as a nine-hole course. In 1999, the course underwent a transformation and expansion into the 18-hole course that exists today. The course offers league play as well as numerous tournaments each year as well as plenty of open tee times through the week. The golf course operations are overseen by the Director of Golf Operations and seasonal staff members.. Policies are set by the Spencer Municipal Golf Course Board of Trustees. A new clubhouse that offers limited quick service food menu and full bar was completed in 2009. Practice facilities as well as cart rentals are available. The course receives no tax dollars to supplement its operations.
