HHW Regional Collection Center Proprietary

Division: Function:

Description of Services:

The Northern Plains Regional Collection Center was opened in 2012 to accept household hazardous waste from within the landfill planning area. The mission of the Regional Collection Center is to provide an opportunity for residents to dispose of any hazardous materials in a safe, efficient, and environmental-friendly manner. The correct disposal of these materials ensures that they do not penetrate our local ground water supply and cause other contamination. The main collection center is located at the Spencer Transfer Station with satellite operations located in Palo Alto and Pocahontas counties.
