Description of Services:

The Northwest Iowa Regional Airport is owned and operated by the City of Spencer. The city provides maintenance of the buildings, runways and taxiways, aircraft aprons and lighting systems. The city contracts with Leading Edge Aviation as the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) to provide general aviation services. Maintenance at the airport is performed by employees of the Street Department. The Airport Board of Trustees is appointed by the mayor and approved by the Council to oversee the operation of the airport. The airport relies on grants from the federal and state governments for many of its capital projects.
