MAYOR - COUNCIL

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION The Mayor-Council budget accounts for the monthly stipend for the Mayor and the quarterly stipends for the member of the City Council. For FY16, the Mayor was budgeted at $9,730 and the Council members were budgeted for $5,230 each. These stipends also include a car allowance for the use of their personal vehicles. The Council saw a change in FY17. Longtime Councilmember Randy Swanson was elected to the Clay County Board of Supervisors. After a special election, Leann Jacobson was elected to fill out the remainder of Randy's term. The Department expended 98.40% of its budget during FY16.
