FUND INFORMATION

This fund accounts for the Landfill's Comprehensive Planning efforts. The primary source of revenue is from a $1.05 / ton fee that is added to the regular tipping fee for all waste deposited at the Landfill. The fee is retained from the state tipping tax and the fund is mandated by DNR regulations. The Iowa Administrative Code stipulates that this money is to be used in the formation and execution of the Landfill Comprehensive Planning Area plan. The Plan outlines the Landfill's goals to meet diversion and other operational aspects.
