FUND INFORMATION

The City of Spencer owns and operates the Transfer Station as part of its Solid Waste operations. Pursuant to State Law, the City must have a dedicated fund established to build a reserve so that at the time of facility closure there is money available to ensure that this is done properly. The City reports the status of this fund and the amount of materials that flow through the facility annually. The amount of materials determines the amount that needs to be in the closure fund.
