FUND INFORMATION

This fund accounts for major pieces of equipment/capital projects for the Solid Waste Operations fund. The primary source of revenue for this fund is the transfer of surplus Solid Waste operations revenue. In the coming years, the fund is projected to have a stable balance as there are very few major pieces of equipment that get replaced in any given year. The current five-year Capital Improvement Plan calls for the replacement of only one commercial packer truck. The plan also contemplates the installation of a scale at the Transfer Station to improve the accuracy of what is received for disposal and that appropriate disposal fees ae being collected. In FY17, the City finalized the purchase of land that was begun in FY16. Also purchased in FY17 was a new pickup truck, new roll off containers and the repair of one of the out buildings at the transfer station.
