2016 SRTS GRAND AVE PROJECT

PROJECT #107

PROJECT INFORMATION The project will construct safe zones and establish crosswalks at the intersections along Grand Avenue. The first intersection will be at S Grand and 8th Street, the second intersection will be N Grand and 11th Street and the final intersection will be N Grand and 14th Street. At each location, a mid crossing safe zone will be constructed so that pedestrians will only have to be concerned with crossing traffic head in one direction at a time. At each location, pedestrian activated signal lights will be installed that will alert traffic that someone may be in the cross walk. This project has been identified by the Safe Routes to School Committee and will be funded by the Safe Routes to School fund that is jointly funded by Spencer Schools and the City.
