The amenities featured in East Leach Park are a basketball court, city campground, a large playground system, fishing, picnic tables, open and enclosed shelter houses, connection to the city’s trails and the city skate park. East Leach Park is also home to several pieces of public art along with the band shell where the municipal band performs concerts each summer.

West Leach Field & Little Sioux River Green Belt

On the west side of Grand Avenue, directly across from East Leach Park is the West Leach Field and Green Belt. Located to the west of the Grand Avenue Bridge, along 4 th St. SW, this 8-acre community park has direct connection to the city’s trail system along with boat or canoe access to the Little Sioux River. One of the most utilized aspects of West Leach Park is the city’s frisbee disc golf course. Additional amenities include a small children's playground, river fishing, picnic tables, and a boat/canoe access to the river.

River View Park & Moose Pond Southeast of East Leach Park is River View Park, located at 612 4 th St. SE, River View is a 60-acre park where the aquatic center for Spencer is also located. Other amenities that River View offers are: concession, 8 court tennis court, picnic area, and natural area.

Located on the southwest side of Riverview Park is Moose Pond. It is located near the Moose Lodge just north of Highway 18. This 10-acre southern portion of Riverview Park offers fishing on Moose Pond and has a large segment of the city’s trail network coursing throughout the natural areas. Riverview Park contains a nice combination of water resources, timber and prairie areas.
