WAGE COMPENSATION
Annual Pay Adjustments The City Council will consider general pay adjustments once per year with changes effective the following July 1. The City Council will take the following factors into consideration when determining pay adjustments. 1. Across the Board Increases The City Council may authorize across the board increases to all management and nonunion employees. 2. Other Increases The City Council may reclassify employee positions based on performance and/or other factors such as an employee’s pay relative to that of similar positions in other cities of similar size or departmental function and responsibility. *Note: This Code Does Not Apply to Bargaining Unit Employees.
Longevity Pay Employees will receive longevity pay as follows: Years of Continuous Service

$300 per year
$300 per year additional $300 per year additional $300 per year additional $1200 maximum
*for hourly employees longevity is included in hourly rate of pay.
Shift Differential Police Officers working twelve (12) hour shifts shall receive an additional fifty (50) cents per hour shift differential pay for the night shift (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.). When an officer works a shift that includes any hours that fall within the “night shift”, that officer is entitled to shift differential for the number of hours that are actually worked between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Dispatchers working the 4:00 to 12:00 A.M. shift and the 12:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. shift shall be paid a shift differential of fifty (50) cents per hour.
